Life is tough.
We all need a bit of support at times: to reconnect with our true selves, to build ourselves back up, or to navigate a really difficult experience or change in our life. Often, despite our best efforts, we repeat patterns that do not help us get to where we want to be or we face unexpected life events that can be difficult to manage.
I’m Laura, a HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist, with 13 years of therapeutic experience working with people in some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
Do you struggle with managing your emotions (e.g. stress, anger, low mood) or are struggling to cope with a change life circumstances?
Are you self critical?
Do you find it hard to feel good about yourself?
Do you have difficulties being assertive, expressing yourself or communicating in conflict?
Perhaps you are seeking a space to make sense of yourself and your experiences.
Or perhaps you are using substances or alcohol in a manner that concerns you or others,
Or are you concerned about your use of sex.
If any of the above have brought you to this site then you can speak to me. I prioritise providing you with a compassionate, non-judgmental and supportive space to explore your past and current experiences.
I believe therapy is an active process and I draw from training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilise a Schema Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. I tailor my approach to work with you, to meet your specific needs, encouraging you to further develop your skills and knowledge to be in a better position to live the life you want to lead.
My fee is £120 per session. If my approach sounds like one you would like to explore, please contact me using the contact form below.
