About our work together
I offer a supportive and compassionate counselling service tailored to your individual needs. I have over 15 years of experience and have worked in a range of settings, including Universities, GP practices, and Third Sector Services. I work integratively, drawing primarily on Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches, allowing sessions to be flexible and responsive to what you bring.
Being bilingual, I can work in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, as well as English, allowing me to connect with individuals in the language they feel most comfortable expressing themselves in. I understand the importance of cultural sensitivity and an awareness of how culture, family, beliefs, and lived experiences shape who we are and how we make sense of the world. This understanding is central to my work and informs how I support each individual.
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can pause, reflect, and explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I believe that change is possible for everyone, and that no problem is “too small” or “too big” to bring to therapy. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn, I am here to listen, support, and help you find a way forward at a pace that feels right for you.
I work with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to anxiety, low mood, life stresses, relationship difficulties, major life changes, exam-related stress, trauma, and grief and loss.
